Michael is the Association liaison to the community at large. He coordinates strategic planning, encourages the leadership to become visionary and manages the Association's business operations. He researches trends for the real estate industry and Association management. He assists, advises and supports the Greensboro Regional REALTORS®. Association President, Executive Committee and Board of Directors. In addition, Michael also serves in the following capacities:

  • Ex-officio member of the Triad Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors and the Triad Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition (TREBIC).
  • Association Liaison to the State (NCAR) and National (NAR) Associations of REALTORS® and the International Sector of NAR.
  • Primary Liaison with Association Attorney and Association CPA.

He guides the interrelated constituencies for a competitive environment, conducts financial oversight and analysis of revenue streams, and manages the staff and day-to-day operations of the Association. He also serves as the the Executive Officer for the North Carolina Certified Commercial Investment Members Chapter
(NC-CCIM), North Carolina Chapter of the REALTORS® Land Institute(NCRLI), and the Carolinas Chapter of Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (CSIOR).

Barbara P. Gilliland - Director of Office and Financial Operations

Barbara advises, assists and supports the Chief Executive Officer in all matters relating to the financial well-being of the Association. She tracks the Association's investments and revenue sources. She maintains the Association's human resource records and performs bookkeeping functions for the GRRA and its affiliate divisions. Barbara is the Administrator for the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM) Chapter #56 and staff liaison to the GRRA's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Division. She also serves as staff liaison to the Association's REALTORS®Community Service Committee (RCSC), the REALTORS®Political Action Committee (RPAC), the Audit and Leadership Development committees, as well as the GRRA's Foundation.

Megan Tasman - Membership and Special Events Coordinator

Megan assists new members in joining the Association and plans and executes the Association's orientation events. She plans and oversees the GRRA's continuing education classes and assists the planning and execution of Association luncheons and special events. She also assists in special projects for the Chief Executive Officer and acts as the staff liason to the Social Committee.

Peter Johnston - MLS/Technical Support Coordinator

Peter, our resident technology expert, assists our membership with support in Multiple Listing Service (MLS) issues. He addresses issues in the SUPRA system and coordinates the GRRA, GRRA-RCA, NC-CCIM, Carolinas Chapter of SIOR, and NCRLI websites. Acting as the staff liaison to the Technology Users Group, Peter ensures the even flow of information and implementation of new technologies. Peter supports the technical infrastructure of the Association, which includes training in software and hardware applications and providing technical support to the GRRA staff.

Sharon Gray - Information Specialist

Sharon serves as the GRRA's first point of contact. She fields telephone calls and directs them to the appropriate staff members and assists the Director of Office and Financial Operations with billing entries and mailings. She is also in charge of the GRRA's library, the REALTOR® Store, and assists in various association projects.

Ashley Boykin - Commerical Coordinator

Ashley is the Commercial Division Coordinator. She helps coordinate the NC-RLI, Carolinas Chapter of SIOR, and NC-CCIM chapters. She is their first stop for information regarding their respective chapters and helps to organize their conferences and continuing education needs.

Melanie Carr - Administrative Assistant

Melanie assists the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Office and Financial Operations regarding issues related to the Board of Directors, provides coverage for the Information Specialist's position, and membership related special projects.
